Landscape Art
My connection to the land is at the heart of my landscape work. Inspired by the forests, mountains, open skies, and changing seasons of the Canadian landscape, I paint from a place of emotional memory and lived experience rather than direct representation alone. Time spent outdoors—walking forest trails, observing shifting light across water and mountain ranges, and feeling the stillness of wild spaces—deeply influences the atmosphere within my paintings. Through layered colour, movement, and texture, I aim to capture not only the appearance of a landscape, but the sense of presence and connection it evokes. My work reflects a reverence for the land as a place of grounding, resilience, and quiet transformation, inviting viewers to pause and reconnect with the natural world.
